چکیده

HELLP syndrome (microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, elevated liver enzymes, GOT > 70 IU and LDH > 600 UI –and thrombocytopenia, platelets < 100,000/mL–) is a serious complication of preeclampsia (4-15% of cases of severe preeclampsia) and carries a high maternal and fetal mortality (1-25% and 10-60% respectively), mainly because of its complications such as the rupture liver (1). We present a case of hemoperitoneum due to rupture of hepatic subcapsular hematoma in pregnant women with HELLP syndrome.
